On Gear Live: 2024 Nissan Z Nismo Review

Jessica AlbaIn a recent interview with Allure magazine, told us why we’ll never ever take her seriously.  The pregnant actress apparently doesn’t care whether we like her work; she’s just interested in our theater dollars.

When asked why she doesn’t delve much into smaller independent fare, the 27-year-old responded:  “To me, box office is the most important thing. If the movie makes money, then I’m fine.”

She then went on to explain her affinity for money.  “I grew up not having a lot. I’m really happy to be making money, not depending on a man, and not having to suffer to survive in this business. Struggling is not fun. Been there, done that.”

What Happens in Vegas

Despite arresting visuals and a $120 million budget, the Wachowski brothers were unable to bring to life.  The Warner Bros. movie - which many had already predicted would fall behind Iron Man - did even worse than originally thought.  At one point, it was believed the anime adaptation would debut in 2nd place.  Unfortunately, the final box office numbers placed the PG film in third.

Meanwhile, became the second wedding-themed entry in the recent Top Ten.  The comedy, starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, replaced Made of Honor as the go to ‘chick flick’ of the week.  The movie grossed $20.1 million, a slim $1.6 million more than Speed.

Lindsay LohanLast month, we told you Lindsay Lohan was scheduled to appear in Manson Girls, a movie about Charles Manson’s followers.  Now we’re learning Lohan has already been replaced in that film and another one as well.

The story behind Lindsay’s exit from Manson varies depending on the source.  One site claims a refill was necessary because the producers were unable to find actresses willing to star with her.  The star’s rep, though, blames ‘scheduling conflicts’ for the casting change.

Meanwhile, the reason for Lohan’s departure from another project is not quite clear.  She was at one point slated to appear with in a romantic comedy.  Now the project is moving on with another actress.  According to someone connected to Ye Old Times, “We have just decided to go our separate ways. We currently have an offer out to another actor.”

Nearly 2 months after a shaky clips were leaked online, we now have an improved - and updated - trailer for The X-Files: I Want to Believe.

Although there are many similarities to the original version, there are some new scenes within this preview.

The mystery unfolds on July 25.

If you’ve been wondering whether to spend your weekend watching (or Iron Man for the second time), here’s something that may help you decide.  You will know now whether the visual movie’s open is at least tolerable.

Given my unexpected reaction to Cloverfield, I don’t think I could sit through another movie that might cause motion sickness

At the very least, fans of Warren Beatty’s colorful Dick Tracy - or those simply with young boys in the home - might find something appealing about it.

As we have reported, director Oliver Stone is currently filming his third piece about a U.S. Commander-in-Chief.  This movie, though, will be his first about a living president, and his first about one still in office.

In this week’s edition of Entertainment Weekly, we get our first glimpses of W‘s George and Laura Bush: (No Country for Old Men) and Elizabeth Banks (The 40-Year-Old Virgin).

EW, Elizabeth Banks and Josh BrolinJosh Brolin as George W. Bush

Although Stone denies he is any way trying to influence the upcoming election, many believe the timing of the film’s release is quite suspect.  (It could be released sometime this fall.)  You can read more of the magazine’s interview here and judge for yourself.

Speed Racer, Emile Hirsch

Here are some possible suggestions for your upcoming weekend:

Mission Impossible III, Tom Cruise

Although I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of , I have to admit I found myself watching Oprah‘s recent two-day love fest about the man.  (The curiosity was killing me.)  On Day One, I found myself gagging when I heard him gloss over all the remarks he made about Brooke Shields.  (His PR spin almost had me searching for my own set of anti-depressants.)

Day Two didn’t start out much better.  Listening to his friends fawn all over “T.C.” almost made me nauseous.  But then something helped change my mood a bit.  I actually found myself remembering some of the good parts he had played.

Chris NothThe Internet has been aflame since the telltale slip was released that a character will be offed in the upcoming motion picture. Many have speculated on just who will find a horrible fate with the franchise, but are any of them right?

Carrie’s black hair, leading trailers and general paranoia have led to one convincing rumor that it will, in fact, be who perishes in the film.

Director Michael Patrick King, who also supplies the commentaries for the DVDs, put an end to those rumors in recent statements to the press. “Kill Mr. Big?” King asked rhetorically. “I would have been chased around the planet by women with torches.” And that’s not even the half of it.

But with that statement, the director closed the door on all the current Sex speculation about actor ‘s character. If Mr. Big won’t die…then, who will? “It’s a summer movie,” King told reporters. “Why would I want to kill anyone?” Could it be that the biggest Sex and the City slip of the season wasn’t even reality?
